Join us for our first workshop!

Saturday, June 20 from 6 - 8 PM

Melissa Berry, ND, will be hosting the first in a series of workshops on veganism. Bring in your favorite non-vegan recipe and Melissa will offer suggestions on ways to make it vegan! We'll also have samples of some of the vegan substitutions like hemp milk, soy milk, and others.

This event is free, but we will be accepting donations for Sisters of the Road Cafe.

Clothing & Household Items needed for family

Belle Sirota is hosting a household item/clothing drive for Vicki Seaunier of Vancouver, Washington. Vicki's house burned down last week, and she and her family lost everything. If you have things sitting around that you're not using, Vicki and her family could use them! Bring them to Belle Sirota at Jantzen Beach Center and we'll make sure that Vicki receives them. She is also looking for a rental house or apartment for herself, her 19 year old daughter, 2 month old grandson, and a family friend.

Information about the fire can be found here. If you are able to donate money, there is a trust set up for the family at Washington Mutual branches in the Portland/Vancouver area.

Kids Craft Camps at Belle Sirota!

Instructors: Julia and Jeanne Hosack

Our first camp will be on Sunday May 3rd at 1:00 inside Belle Sirota at the Jantzen Beach Mall.

We will be making painted sunflower pots for Mothers day, complete with a mini sunflower seedling.

This class is appropriate for ages 3 and up. The cost is $15. This includes a kit with everything you need to make your pot and a token to ride the carousel.

Grand Re-Opening/1st Anniversary Celebration!

Belle Sirota (all vegan gallery) has expanded to a much larger space inside Jantzen Beach Center and we're celebrating the grand re-opening and first anniversary! Tomorrow, April 4, from noon - 2:00, Nikki from Vege Thai will be demonstrating how to make salad rolls, and we'll be offering samples of Market Spice Tea, cinnamon roasted almonds, and Missionary Chocolates.

First Friday Art Walk tonight!

Join Jantzen Beach the first Friday of the month for a different type of Art Walk!

Every first Friday, Jantzen Beach and Belle Sirota host an Art Walk for all ages. Local independent artists display their work in this unconventional venue. Imagine an Art Walk where patrons can avoid the unpredictable weather of the Pacific NW and have plenty of parking.

Tonight, we will have artisans showing jewelry, fine art, handcrafted soaps, photography, metal sculpture and more.

Carnaval is this Saturday!

Carnaval Brasileiro is this Saturday night at the Crystal Ballroom! If you need a mask, stop by Belle Sirota and check out the great selection of handcrafted masks by Connie & Diane Trapp.

This past Saturday, I had a table at the Beaux Arts Ball at the Portland Art Museum. The response to the masks was fantastic!
